Different Type Of Lobster

 

You can find different type of lobster from the oceans world wide, from cold waters of the northern United States to sunny areas like the Caribbean, Brazil and Australia.  Whether lobster have big claws, no claws, tiny or big tails, lobster give you delicious and luxurious seafood taste.  Here we introduce you to some of the most different type of lobster.

American Lobster

In the northeast waters of Maine, Massachusetts and Canada's Maritime province, you can find the famed diicacy - American lobster.  The American lobster have dark greenish brown shells and it cooks to a brilliant cardinal red.  THe cooked meat is creamy white with a speckled red surface.  American lobster has a rich buttery, sweet taste.  It has a tender but chewy texture. 

Spiny Lobster

Spiny lobster can be found in California warm waters and from Florida to Brazil.  The spiny lobster somewhat resembles the American lobster, however spiny lobster do not has claws and it is the meaty tails that we enjoy.  Their tails range in size from mini 2 ounces varieties to 8 ounces and larger.   Spiny lobster has a rich and sweet taste when cook.  The meat is moist and dense but can be a bit softer and less chewy than the American lobster.  Spiny lobster tail can be grill, or bake because they are somewhat most, but you can also steam or boil them.  S

Langostino

Langostino is a miniature member of the lobster family.  It have a small body, 4-5 inches long and  slender, dainty looking claws about the same size.  The langostino yields tasty bite size meat from its tail.  The meat is snow white tinged with reddish orange, has a mild, slightly sweet flavor and firm texture.  Langostinos are caught off the coast of Chile.  Cooked Lagostino the same way as you could cooked shrimp.
